Welcome to the EDGE Childcare Center! Our focus is to provide a stimulating early care and education experience which promotes each child's social/emotional, physical and cognitive development.
I served in the Army Military Intelligence as a Russian Linguist, earned my Bachelor's in Business Administration, and now work in Washington DC as a Special Investigator conducting security clearance background invesigations. In the summer of 2010, I will return to the EDGE and will re-start our Little Ninja martial arts program, which will also be offered to our daycare students! I also have a love of languages, and will be teaching the children Spanish through Songs and Games! I look to meeting with you when I return!

I am the assistant group supervisor for the Kid's Edge child care center, in Towanda, PA.
My husband and I have been married for 40yrs, raised three children and now have ten grandchildren.
We were involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters for over ten years.
Over the years, I have participated in many Keystone STARS training programs and Red Cross CPR training. My major function is planning and implementing daily program activities. Assisting the director with designated activities.
I feel passionate about being involved in the development, happiness and education of children, as well as providing a safe nurturing environment that cultivates self-esteem for all children that past through my life.
Before changing my career, I worked in the medical field as a surgical aide and nursing assistant for Shiner's Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

I was born and raised in a small town near Salzburg, Austria. Everyone calls me Kitty.
In 1952, I came to the US. My husband was in the Army and we lived in Washington D.C. and Virginia. We transferred back to Germany for five years. We had five children then returned to the US in 1963.
I started in the child care field in 1971 when my daughter started school. I retired in 2007, but decided I missed working with children. I currently work for the Edge Child Care and Love It!

Mary Lou Comstock

I would like to introduce myself and let you know a little bit about "ME".
My name is Mary Lou Comstock, I was born and raised in Bradford County. I am currently the Supervisor/Director at The Kids Edge Child Care in North Towanda.
I have two children Michelle and Bob and each of my children have blessed me with a Grandchild. My Grandchildren are both 5 and just 34 days apart in age. (Milo) Braden Berdine who lives in Elmira, is the funniest boy a Granny could ever love and his cousin Caitlyn who lives in Portland, Oregon is my little princess.
My career consists of 35 dedicated years of service to Bradford County Day Care, due to their center closing I have been given the opportuntiy to come here and work at the Edge. After 6 months here at The Edge I am absolutely thrilled with my position. I believe at The Edge, I can continue my life long goal to make a difference in children's lives.
Through everyday experience, and continued education. I pride myself in understanding the needs of children by providing a loving and caring relationship with the children. I provide a Developmentally Appropriate Learning Environment and a Quality Program giving children the start they need to go on to become great learners.

Loretta Kukaites

My name is Loretta Kukaites and I live in Towanda, Pennsylvania. I have worked for The Edge and with Day Care for a number of years. I also work at The Edge Fitness Center also. I am married to my best friend, Edward and have been for 52 years. We have 4 children, 3 girls and a son. I also have 2 Grandsons and 1 pretty Granddaughter. I enjoy my work with the children very much.
